i've been sneaking out a lot lately. i don't live at home. i don't have parents to lie to. i don't have roommates. so i'm doing it for the cat.
last night in this rebellion i got married. i won't say to whom, although it's not memory that's holding my tongue. yes mr x and i got hitched. and it was a straight wedding, none of this san francisco influence. the whole getting hitched or tying the knot (as my dad thinks is so clever--he put his wedding proposal in a book of nautical knots, a clever thing that was unsurprisingly not caught by the receiving individual)--anyway, the getting married bit of the ordeal was the odd thing. and who it was too, in some ways. but what wasn't odd seeming was that it was a large wedding and that everyone in attendence was dressed like mr. clean. everyone was sporting a white t-shirt, a big gold earring, and those fake bald caps. and i was standing at the altar proudly with a white vail and my kelly green "bald is beautiful" t-shirt on. i've never been so happy.
