"i cannot prove that love exists any more than i can explain the aeronautics that allow a jet airplane to take off from boston and land safely in helsinki seeveral hours later. but i believe love is possible becasue i know what it feels like when it leaves. the strongest, most visceral evidence i have is the pain assoicated with its departure, and the sound track that lingers once the pain subsides. and that is what i take with me: laughter from anoterh time, anotehr place, another room but the song of laughter nonetheless."
